Environment Protection

It is our belief that environmental sustainability can only be achieved through careful renewable resource management. Some areas we can look into include the production of biogas in our wastewater treatment, tapping renewable clean energy, optimize production process routes and supply points, reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials, develop sustainable products for sustainable applications. We are aware of the impact that human activities can have on the environment.

Thus we are committed to significantly reduce our own energy and water consumption, waste and waste water, CO2 emissions as well as indirect and direct greenhouse gas emissions and eventually reach zero discharge equilibrium.

Emissions Emissions

Policies and compliance and material non-compliance with relevant standards, rules and regulations that can include air and greenhouse gas emissions, discharges into water and land, generation of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, etc. Air emissions can include NOX, SOX, and other pollutants regulated under national laws and regulations. Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulphur hexafluoride. Hazardous wastes are those defined by national regulations.

  • Type of emissions and respective emission data
  • Greenhouse gas emissions in total (tonnes) and where appropriate, intensity (e.g per unit of production volume, per facility).
  • Total hazardous waste produced (in tonnes) and where appropriate, intensity (e.g per unit of production volume, per facility).
  • Total non-hazardous waste produced (in tonnes) and where appropriate, intensity (e.g per unit of production volume, per facility).
  • Description of measures to mitigate emissions and results achieved
  • Description of how hazardous and non –hazardous wastes are handled, reduction initiatives and results achieved.
Use of Resources

Policies on efficient use of resources including energy, water and other raw materials. Resources may be used in production, in storage, transportation, in buildings, equipment, etc.

  • Direct and/or indirect energy consumption by type (eg. Electricity, gas or oil) in total (kwh) and intensity (e.g. per unit of production volume, per facility)
  • Water consumption in total and intensity (e.g. per unit of production volume, per facility)
  • Description of energy use efficiency initiatives and results achieved
  • Description of whether there is any issue in sourcing water that is fit for purpose, water efficiency initiatives and results achieved
  • Total packaging material used for finished products (in tonnes), and if applicable, with reference to per unit produced.
